2013 BMW 135is Coupe and 135is Convertible User Manual Owners Pdf

The 2013 BMW 135is Coupe and Convertible will arrive at dealers this fall, but if you missed out on the 1-Series M Coupe--or just want something a bit more relaxed, but not as tame as a standard 135i--you can order one now. The 135is Coupe starts from $44,145, while the Convertible jumps off at $48,845.

Unique aesthetic touches reserved for the 135is include exclusive 18-inch wheels, a high-gloss black kidney grille, black mirror caps, and the full M Sport Package. Inside, the 135is sports special badges, and optional black leather seats with blue stitching.

A new differential in the 135is offers cooler operating temperatures and, in theory therefore, somewhat greater efficiency in power delivery. It does this by using new double-helical ball bearings, reducing friction and the amount of lubricant needed within the differential. The 135is still doesn't get a true mechanical limited-slip differential like that found in the 1-Series M Coupe, however, instead relying on the familiar brake-based simulated differential lock to improve acceleration and low-traction grip
Google Images
The BMW 1-Series M Coupe is basically done; it was a one-year special sold as a limited edition. But now there's a new compact BMW that's not-quite-but-almost as good, at least in some respects: the 2013 135is.

Available as either a coupe or a convertible, the 135is borrows the same basic philosophy (and engine) as found in the 335is, delivering 320 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque in the 1-Series body. A choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed dual clutch transmission  opens the performance door to pretty much everyone.
Google Images
BMW includes a special tune for the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) that raises the threshold for slip and yaw to more sporting levels. It's even supposed to "enhance performance-oriented driving." Sounds good, but we'll have to test it for ourselves.

If the 135is sounds familiar, it's because it's a two-door doppelgänger to the M Performance 1-Series hatchbacks released in Europe this week, which get the same power output with a cargo area. Yes, we'd rather have that version--especially the three-door--too.

2013 BMW 1-Series 135i Coupe and 135i Convertible User Manual Owners Pdf

2013 BMW 1-Series 135i Coupe and 135i Convertible User Manual Owners Pdf -

Prices are set at $44,145 for the coupe and $48,845 for the convertible. A standard 135i coupe starts at $40,195, but equipping one to match the 135is coupe would cost $44,473 before installation fees. Those will run at least an additional grand, but even if the 135is is something of a deal, we can’t say we’re feeling frothy-mouthed enthusiasm for this car—the departure of the 1-series M still stings, and Europeans are soon to get an M135i hatchback.
Google Images
For interior and exterior upgrades, the 135is borrows from the standard M Sport package, a $1300 perk for normal 1-series cars. It includes an M steering wheel, sport seats—only the 135is seats can be ordered with blue contrast stitching, though—and black exterior trim in lieu of chrome. A black kidney grille ($125 in the BMW accessories catalog) and black side-mirror caps add to the 135is’s darker look. Stainless steel pedals are installed, a $156 value. A new 18-inch wheel design actually is unique to the 135is. And can you really put a price on the special 135is badges affixed inside and out?
Google Images
Engine output for the 135is is rated at 320 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque, increases of 20 and 17 versus a standard 135i. The new car also gets an upgraded cooling system with a more-powerful radiator fan and an auxiliary radiator. BMW devotees will recognize these features from the optional $1447 Performance Power kit available on the 135i—but the 135is is built entirely in the factory, while the Performance Power kit is a dealer-installed package. A BMW Performance exhaust, normally a $1250 option, also is included on the 135is. Shoppers can spec their car with either a standard six-speed stick or an optional seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Google Images
BMW will extend its “is” badging to the 1-series starting this fall, when dealers begin taking deliveries of the 2013 135is coupes and convertibles. Whereas the 335is and Z4 sDrive35is are perhaps halfway between normal models and M cars—sort of M Performance cars before such a thing existed—the 135is is more like a 135i with existing off-the-shelf upgrades.

2012 BMW 1 Series Review User Manual Owners Pdf

2012 BMW 1 Series Review User Manual Owners Pdf -
Google Images
One of the best character traits of the new 1 series is its overt turbocharging. The 1.6 liter was full of playful turbo humor, audibly whining as the turbo spooled under throttle, and hissing as the waste gate dropped the boost pressure. What fun! Why not embellish the cheerful character of this turbo engine instead of trying to mask its forced induction? BMW has done a great job allowing the new 118i’s engine to shine through and delight – not just in performance, but in the sound department too.
Google Images
The 1.6 liter inline-4 is equipped with Valvetronic, double VANOS and direct injection along with its turbo. The results are staggering from a 1.6 liter: 170 hp, at 4,800 rpm, 184 lb ft of torque from 1,500 rpm to 4,500 rpm, 0-60 in 7.4 seconds, and a blistering top speed approaching 230 km/hour (we believe it was good for more, but we had to get on the brakes for a slower car meandering into our lane). Pivotal to the new 4 cylinder’s performance was its balance and smoothness. Honestly, this was the smoothest 4 cylinder I’ve ever encountered and while it idles a bit rough, above idle it becomes silky – almost fooling you in the cylinder-count department for an inline-6.

In the back, the taillights are a bit too busy for our taste with an integrated LED L-shape. The car continues to feature a similar hatch-look as the previous generation with a lower positioned trunk and a a more emphasized trunk-lid.
Google Images
Inside is where the new F20 really shines. The interior upgrades are bringing back the premium feel and touch, along with the usual driver oriented position. The Sports line of the new 1er stands out even more, with beautiful red accents inserted and gorgeous dashboard and gauges.

BMW's 1 Series design has obtained maturation, providing an even better stability between sportiness and driving relaxation, enhanced performance, and numerous car owner support systems formerly available only in higher sections. This is also obvious in its size. The system of the new BMW 1-Series is 85 millimetres longer than its forerunner, at 4,324 millimetres, while the wheelbase has improved by 30 millimetres to 2,690 millimetres. The car also looks more highly effective because its overall size has improved by 17 millimetres to 1,765 millimetres (due to an increase in track of 51 millimetres at the front and 72 millimetres at the rear), whereas its size continues to be the same at 1,421 millimetres. The back chairs have 21 millimetres more legroom, and the baggage section has extended by 30 ltrs to 360 ltrs.

The style of the new creation is a highly effective concept of the newest technical developments. The model's clean, younger picture has been fashionably modified, with precision-moulded system areas and a modern, efficient internal both underlining its top quality position. Another advancement is the BMW Game Range and BMW City Range, two varies of indoor and outdoor style features and equipment that provide unique customization possibilities.

BMW X5 4WD Wagon 3 0 Litre Automatic Road Test Report Repair Manuals

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lsyt_wQ2awY/SKBbATWuntI/AAAAAAAAE-8/QaWpsmxIMeM/s400/BMW-X5_1999_800x600_wallpaper_01.jpg

Short Description
The new 3.0 litre six cylinder BMW X5 4WD wagon is a welcome addition alongside the 4.4 litre V8 version as it costs $25,500 less, provides commendable levels of performance, returns better fuel economy than the V8, and still provides most (but of course, not all) of the V8 model’s desirable features.

Quite apart from whatever value you put on the BMW nameplate, that’s good value when you consider what this vehicle provides. The X5 can be everything from a luxury car to a family wagon, a cargo hauler, and even a reasonably capable off-roader (provided you don’t mind getting it dirty!). Under the bonnet is BMW’s acclaimed 3.0 litre DOHC straight six cylinder engine that also powers the 530i, 330i and Z3 models. It gives quite a spirited performance, considering the X5 weighs in at 2030 kg, and even sounds great under acceleration. Technology abounds in the X5, with all manner of controls designed to provide high levels of dynamic safety. These include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC III), Automatic Stability Control (ASC-X), Automatic Differential Brake (ADB-X), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) and Anti-lock Brakes (ABS).

The only suspension control system that the 3.0 litre model doesn’t get is self-levelling suspension with rear air suspension. Passive safety features in the X5 include 10 airbags, head restraints and lap/sash seat belts for all five occupants, and crash sensors included in the central locking system. Luxury equipment in the 3.0 litre X5 includes automatic climate control air conditioning, leather upholstery, CD player, power operated windows, exterior mirrors and tailgate, cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, and roof rails. Compared with the 4.4 litre X5, the 3.0 litre version misses out on electric front seats, the onboard monitor with TV and trip computer, a rear mounted CD stacker, park distance control, aluminium running boards and anti-dazzle interior and exterior mirrors. All of these items, plus satellite navigation, are available as options. High standards of finish are expected in a BMW costing $80,000-plus and the X5 doesn’t disappoint. Inside and out, it looks to be very well built, and the attention to detail is excellent. As for the V8 model, the 3.0 litre X5 offers good space in all five seating positions and there’s no rear floor hump to hinder a centre rear passenger’s comfort. The seats are firm, but generally comfortable, though there’s not a lot of lateral support when cornering. The luggage area is a good size for normal family requirements and the seat backrest folds in a 60/40 split when more load length is needed. The two-piece tailgate provides easy loading, though you have to stretch across the lower section to reach forward-placed items. The bottom tailgate section lowers to a horizontal position and could handily double as a bench or a seat at picnics.
